About Commit Goaltending
The Game Changes When You Go All In
This isn’t just another goalie camp — it’s a complete transformation. At Commit Goaltending, we focus on building better goalies and even better people. Our programs are designed for those who are serious about their development, passionate about the position, and willing to commit to the process. It’s not for everyone, and that’s exactly why it works.
Our Philosophy
At Commit Goaltending, we coach the goalie, not just the position. Every athlete receives focused, personalized development rooted in fundamentals, discipline, and mental strength. We train with intention. We track progress. And we care deeply about the people we work with.
We believe that development doesn't happen in isolation — it happens in connection. That’s why we foster strong relationships with our goalies and their families. We’re not just preparing you for your next season — we’re helping you prepare for what comes after it, too.

Meet the Coach: Trevor Carter
My name is Trevor Carter, and goaltending has been a central part of my life for over 30 years. I grew up playing minor hockey in Drayton Valley from 1989 to 1999 before moving on to AAA hockey with the Spruce Grove Timberwolves for two seasons. I had the opportunity to play at the Junior A level with the Drayton Valley Thunder and Junior B with the St. Albert Merchants and Millwoods Ice Kings. I continued my playing career at the Senior AA level with the Drayton Valley Wildcats and later the Whitecourt Wild, until a career-ending injury in 2019 pushed me into full-time coaching.
My coaching journey began in 2012, volunteering with WMHA and working my way through every level, from U7 to Junior B. I’ve served as a Head Coach and Director for the TRAC Wolverines AA Program, built a successful goaltending facility under Trevor Carter Goaltending Inc., and co-founded Tru Grit Hockey Academy to blend academic achievement with elite hockey development. I’ve also held a leadership role with the Gold in the Net Alberta franchise, delivering goalie clinics, camps, coach education, and development across the province.
Through it all, my purpose has never changed: to give goalies the tools, mindset, and support they need to thrive. I’m a builder by nature — of systems, of programs, and of people. Relationships, trust, and attention to detail are at the core of everything I do.
